Woman Dies Mysteriously In Bhubaneswar, Kin Allege Foul Play

Bhubaneswar: A newlywed woman was allegedly murdered by her in-laws on Monday in Bhubaneswar’s Govindpur village, which is within the jurisdiction of the Tomando police.

However, her relatives suspected foul play and alleged that she was murdered.

Sushree Sangeeta, who worked at a private nursing home as a nurse, has been identified as the deceased.

Sushree, a native of Baarana village in the Niali area, wed Pravin Chandra Nayak of Govidpur village in 2021, according to family relatives. Her in-laws called them to let them know that their daughter had passed away as Diwali preparations were in progress.

When they arrived, they discovered the body had been admitted to the AIIMS in Bhubaneswar. They said that she had been under pressure from her in-laws to perform the task and send more money home.

Sabitri Nayak, the deceased’s mother-in-law, referred to the accusations of murder as unfounded.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s husband and father-in-law have been missing since Monday.

However, the police didn’t respond to media queries in this context.
