Adidas Unveils New Jerseys for Team India Across ODI, T20I, & Test Ahead of WTC Final

Mumbai: Ahead of the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 in England, the Indian cricket team’s brand new jersey design has been unveiled, generating great excitement among the passionate cricket fans in the country.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced its partnership with Adidas, a renowned global sports goods brand, as its official kit sponsor.

Adidas, a prominent name in the sports industry, revealed an elegant rendition of the Indian jersey on its social media platforms, further amplifying the anticipation for the World Test Championship final.

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, is currently preparing in England to face Australia at The Oval, with the match commencing on June 7.

The contract between the BCCI and Adidas, extending until March 2028, grants the sports goods manufacturer exclusive rights to supply kits for all formats of the game. This partnership encompasses not only the men’s national team but also the women’s and youth teams, making Adidas the sole supplier of match, training, and travel wear for the BCCI.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, Adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket.”

Adidas boasts a prestigious association with esteemed sports teams such as the World Champions AFA (Argentina Football Association), the All Blacks, and Major League Soccer, among others. In addition to the men’s and women’s senior national cricket teams, Adidas will also provide kits for the India “A” and “B” teams, the India U-19 teams, as well as their coaches and staff.

Meanwhile, the eagerly anticipated WTC final will witness the Indian team, led by Captain Rohit Sharma, donning the iconic three stripes of Adidas for the first time. This significant jersey debut will surely enhance the players’ performance and add a touch of style to their on-field presence.
