India Clinch T20I Series 2-1 Thrashing New Zealand By 168 Runs

Ahmedabad: After their bowling against Men in Blue went wrong, the Kiwis surrendered themselves before the home team at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

The third and final T20I match turned out as unfortunate for New Zealand as the visitors seem desperate after a gripless bowling performance.

New Zealand came into this game dreaming of a rare away series win in India, but that dream was shattered straight away.

Except for Daryl Mitchel and Mitchel Santner, none of the Kiwi batters crossed the double-digit mark Mitchel managed to score 35 as the highest one for Blackcaps.

While chasing 235 runs, New Zealand crumbled within the powerplay and lost all wickets by 66 runs.

Shubman Gill smashed his maiden T20I century as Team India finished at 234/4 in 20 overs.

The day belonged to Shubman Gill who became just the 5th Indian batter to score centuries in all formats of the game.

Gill remained unbeaten at 126* off 63 balls and Rahul Tripathi also smashed 44 off 22 balls.

For New Zealand, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, Blair Tickner, and Daryl Mitchell scalped one wicket each.
