Big news for realme users! All 5G smart phones to support high-speed 5G network by October

New Delhi: If you have a realme smartphone then there is good news for you. The company has announced that all its 5G smartphones will support standalone 5G networks by October. The company has said that about 85 percent of its devices already support standalone (SA) networks, which will benefit 5G users.

A standalone network is a high-speed 5G network that does not rely on 4G infrastructures and delivers better internet speeds. The standalone service uses a dedicated spectrum to deliver 5G speeds. Reliance Jio is the only telecom company in India, which will offer SA 5G experience to its users with a 700MHz spectrum.

At the IMC 2022 event, Realme India CEO Madhav Seth revealed that the company’s entire 5G lineup is compatible with the spectrum offered to telecom operators in India. Apart from Jio, Airtel, and Vi, the company has partnered with chipmakers Qualcomm and MediaTek to offer 5G benefits to all users in India. Realme had announced that all the new devices it will launch will be 5G compatible. Apart from this, the company had also announced to bring cheap 5G smartphones under Rs 10,000, although till now these budget phones have not been launched in the market.

The company is giving a new firmware update to its devices so that they will get the benefit of the Jio 5G network. Many users are getting the new update, whose change log has been said to include support for Jio 5G.
