1 Kg Gold Seized from 4 Inter-State Looters Arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Four inter-state looters were arrested in Bhubaneswar by the Commissionerate Police.

The arrested persons included three members of a professional burglary gang and the receiver of the stolen gold ornaments.

This gang was involved in a series of sensational house dacoities in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nayagarha, Kendrapara districts.

The arrested burglars were Subhrakanta Behera (33) alias Kajal of Jagatsinghpur,  Biswajit Das alias Bitu of Jajpur, Madhusudan Mohanty of Jagatsinghpur and the receiver Sudam Charana Sahoo who owns a jewellery shop in Paradip.

Gold ornaments weighing around one kg, 1300 gram silver ornaments, cash worth 3.25 lakh and housebreaking equipment were seized from the arrested persons.
