NIA Seizes Property Linked to Pro-Khalistani Terrorist in Punjab

New Delhi: In a major blow to pro-Khalistani terror elements, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday confiscated the property of a designated terrorist, Ramandeep Singh, alias Raman, located in Punjab.

Acting on directives from a special NIA court in the capital, the agency seized Raman’s land spanning 31 Kanal, 9 Marlas, and 4 Sarsahi in Jhok Nodh Singh village, Tibbi Kalan area, Ferozepur district.

Raman, declared a proclaimed offender by the NIA Special Court on July 27, 2023, is a key figure in ongoing investigations into terror activities associated with banned outfits like Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), and International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF).

The confiscation is part of the broader probe into connections between these terror groups and organized criminal syndicates engaged in arms, ammunition, and explosives smuggling across borders to fuel terrorism in India.

The case, initiated suo moto by the NIA on August 20, 2022, remains under active investigation.
