Nitin Gadkari Faints at Election Rally in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari fainted while addressing a public meeting during the election campaign in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal on Tuesday afternoon.

He recovered after receiving timely medical aid.

Nitin Gadkari was campaigning for Rajashree Patil, who is from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction of the Shiv Sena and the candidate of Maharshtra’s Mahayuti alliance. She is contesting from Yavatmal.

The Mahayuti alliance consists of the BJP, the Shinde-led Sena, and the Nationalist Congress Party breakaway unit led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
