Congress Announces Candidates For 9 Lok Sabha Seats In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Congress party on Saturday released its second list of nine candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, augmenting its campaign momentum. Following the initial announcement of eight candidates on April 2, the party continues to strategically position key figures for the upcoming polls.

Former Union Minister Srikanta Jena emerges as a pivotal choice, slated to contest from the Balasore constituency, while NSUI Odisha unit president Yasir Nawaj has secured the nomination for the Bhubaneswar seat. Notable veterans Ananta Prasad Sethi and Rabindra Kumar Sethy are entrusted with representing the party in the Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha constituencies respectively.

The Congress party’s lineup further includes Sidharth Swarup Das for the Kendrapara seat, Suchitra Mohanty for Puri, Mohan Hembram for Keonjhar, and Anchal Das for the Jajpur constituency. Additionally, Sashmita Behera has been fielded in Dhenkanal.
