Cap Bali Yatra Stall Charges Within Rs 1000: Orissa HC

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday directed Cuttack Collector to cap stall charges in Odisha Bali Yatra within Rs 1000.

Hearing a petition filed by the Utkal Sammilani, a division bench of the Orissa High Court issued orders to provide stalls to the local businessmen at a subsidised rate of Rs 1000.

The Collector during his personal appearance also assured the High Court to carry out the order as soon as possible, prioritising the petty businessmen of the locality.

Worth mentioning, following disappointments among the petty vendors over the skyrocketing stall charges in the Bali Yatra ground, the Utkal Sammilani had sought the intervention of the Orissa High Court.
