15 Former MLAs, An Ex-MP from Tamil Nadu Join BJP

New Delhi: A group of Tamil Nadu leaders including 15 former MLAs and an ex-MP, joined the BJP on Wednesday in Delhi.

Most of them were earlier members of the AIADMK, the party that was an ally of the BJP in the past.

The leaders who joined the BJP included former AIADMK leaders, K Vadivel, MV Rathnam, R Chinnaswamy, and PS Kandasamy. They joined the saffron party in the presence of Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai.

Welcoming the leaders, Annamalai said these leaders want to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he is coming back to power for a third straight term.

“Tamil Nadu is going the Bharatiya Janata Party way,” claimed the state BJP chief.
