2 Prime Accused of Rameshwaram Café Blast Brought to Bengaluru on Transit Remand

Bengaluru: The two prime accused in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, who were arrested in West Bengal, were brought to Bengaluru by the NIA from Kolkata on transit remand.

After medical test, both will be produced before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Bengaluru on Saturday.

A Kolkata court on Friday granted a 3-day transit remand of the two accused in the blast case to the NIA.

Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Adbul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa were arrested from Kolkata by the NIA for their alleged involvement in the March 1 blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru.

According to NIA, Shazib placed the IED at the cafe and Taahaa was the mastermind of the attack. The NIA took over the probe on March 3.
