3 Bus Passengers Killed, One Injured as Speeding Truck Hits Them in Angul Dist

Angul: At least three persons died and another was seriously injured when they were hit by a speeding truck in the Bargapali area in the Angul district late Thursday night.

The deceased as well as the injured were passengers of a bus traveling from Bhubaneswar to Sundargarh district. Along with other passengers, they had come out of the bus, when it halted because of a flat tyre.

The passengers of the bus were standing on the road by the side of the bus which was being repaired when a speeding truck rammed them.

The four injured persons were rushed to Rairakhol Hospital where two passengers died. Another injured passenger breathed his last at the Kishorenagar Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Ghanshyam Barik of Brajarajnagar, Anand Pradhan of Sundargarh and Nayan Kumar Nayak of Jharsuguda.
