3 Maoists Killed in Encounter in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Three armed Maoists were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces in Karriguta forests in Chhattisgarh bordering Telangana on Saturday morning.

This encounter took place while an anti-Naxal operation led by Telangana’s Greyhounds with auxiliary support of Chhattisgarh Police was underway in the Karriguta forests of Pujari Kanker on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border.

Bodies of the three slain Maoists and their weapons were recovered from the spot of the encounter. The seized items included one AK47 rifle, one LMG and explosives.
