4 Cyber Frauds Arrested by Odisha Crime Branch from Gujarat

Bhubaneswar: Personnel of the Odisha Crime Branch arrested four cyber fraudsters from Gujarat. These cyber frauds had allegedly conned Rs 60 lakh from an inhabitant through dubious online trading racket.

The arrested persons were identified as Fakir Alfazsha Bismillasha (20), Ahmad Khan Sardar Khan Baloch (38), Shaikh Huma Parvin Rafiq (27), and her husband Rafiq Abdul Majeed Shaikh from the Fatehwadi area of Ahmedabad district in Gujarat.

As per a complaint filed by the victim on November 26, 2023, he became prey to a Cyber Crime syndicate which extracted around Rs 60 lakh from him in the name of investment in online trading.

The investigating team tracked down the fraudsters in Gujarat. With the support of the Gujarat Police, the personnel of the Odisha Crime Branch arrested the fraudsters from Fatewadi. The accused were brought to Odisha from Gujarat on remand.
