5 Poachers Nabbed in Boudh, Father-Daughter Duo Among Them

Boudh: A father and daughter duo was among the five poachers arrested by forest officials in Boudh district of Odisha on Tuesday.

They were identified as Uttam Pradhan and his daughter Sabitri Majhi of Padmatola village under the Kusanga forest range.

Receiving information about poaching attempts, personnel of the Kusanga forest range raided two places on Tuesday.

During the raid on Uttam and Sabitri’s house, forest officials found incriminating wildlife materials and arrested the duo. Pangolin scales, two country-made guns, explosives, hooks and other items used in poaching were seized from them.

Kusanga forest personnel also nabbed three other poachers in the Chamundia range of Nayagarh district.
