Abducted Sundargarh School Teacher Rescued from Chhattisgarh, 3 arrested

Sundargarh: Three persons involved in the kidnapping of a government school teacher for ransom were arrested in Sundargarh district on of Odisha on Tuesday.

The rescued victim was Sarbeswar Das, headmaster of Brahmanmara High School within Kinjirkela police limits of Sundargarh. The abductors had demanded one lakh rupees from his wife for his release.

He was located and rescued from a jungle in Chhattisgarh. Police seized two guns, a vehicle bearing registration number of Chhattisgarh from possession of the arrested abductors.

According to reports Sarbeswar was kidnapped by the miscreants while he was returning back from school.

Acting on his wife’s complaint, Sundargarh police had formed two special teams to track down the victim.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
