Amrit Bharat Express Arrives in Bhubaneswar: Odisha Stoppages and Fare Details Revealed

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two Amrit Bharat Express trains in Ayodhya on Saturday, ahead of the consecration of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22. One of the trains, flagged off yesterday, arrived at Bhubaneswar Railway Station this morning.

Lok Sabha MP Aparajita Sarangi and Rajya Sabha members Sulata Deo and Munna Khan extended a warm welcome to the train at Bhubaneswar Railway Station.

The newly inaugurated Amrit Bharat Express will operate between Malda Town and SMVT in Bengaluru via Kharagpur, Balasore, and Brahmapur, connecting West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. The daily service, comprising all non-AC coaches will commence from January 7.

The train, carrying 22 coaches, includes two reserved for Railway guards. Among the passenger coaches, eight are second class unreserved with advanced amenities such as CCTV and well-furnished seats, while the remaining 12 are sleeper class reserved for passengers.

With a speed of 130 kmph, the Amrit Bharat Express will make stopovers at Jaleswar, Balasore, Soro, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, and Brahmapur railway stations in Odisha.

For travel from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru in the general compartment, the fare is set at Rs 432 per passenger, while those opting for the sleeper class reserved coach will pay Rs 782.
