BCCI May Extend Rahul Dravid’s Tenure as Team India’s Coach, Reports

New Delhi: The BCCI is planning to offer another two-year contract to Rahul Dravid to continue as head coach of Team India.

As per reports, the BCCI wants him to remain the head coach of the Indian Team during the tour of South Africa. The modalities for it are being worked on.

Under Dravid’s coaching, India finished runners-up in both the World Test Championship (WTC) and the ODI World Cup.

As per a report by NDTV, the BCCI secretary Jay Shah has had discussions with Dravid during last week.

It is anticipated that VVS Laxman might coach the team during the first phase of the South Africa series.

Dravid, however, hasn’t yet said anything about his future plans. As per reports, he has multiple offers to become Team Director/Team Mentor from IPL franchises.
