Bengaluru Café Blast Accused Identified

Bengaluru; A day after the incident, the person involved in the blast at Rameshwaram Café in the Whitefield area of the city has been identified. Nine people were injured in this explosion on Friday.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said, “A person wearing a mask and cap came in a bus, fixed the timer and exploded it. The deputy CM and Home Minister visited the spot yesterday. I will also go to the hospital and the spot today. I don’t know if this is the work of an organisation or not. A serious investigation is underway. BJP should not play politics in this matter. Mangalore blast and Bengaluru explosion are not related. The blast is still under investigation. Appropriate action will be taken after the report…”

As regards the Rameshwaram cafe incident, the investigation is in full swing. Several teams are working on different leads obtained so far.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday ruled out gas leak as the cause of the blaze. He said CCTV footage has revealed that a man was seen keeping a bag in the cafe.

“It is not a high-intensity blast but an improvised one. The injured, including the hotel staff, have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he said.
