BJD’s State Secy Chittaranjan Mandal Quits Party

Bhubaneswar: The state secretary of the BJD, Chittaranjan Mandal resigned from the party on Monday. As per reports, he quit the party after he was denied a ticket to contest the upcoming elections.

Mandal resigned from the primary membership of the BJD. He sent his resignation to the BJD president Naveen Patnaik.

In his resignation letter, Mandal said, he was hurt due to certain decisions and actions of the party leadership.

Mandal said he was an aspirant for a BJD ticket for the Narla Assembly seat. But the BJD chose Manorama Mohanty to contest from the Narla assembly seat.

Mandal, as a Congress candidate had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 Assembly polls from Narla. He later joined the BJD.
