Brown Sugar Worth Rs 26 Lakh Seized from Arrested Drug Peddlar in Balasore

Balasore: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Balasore police on Tuesday nabbed a brown sugar peddler with possession of 260 grams of the contraband estimated to be worth Rs 26 lakh.

The accused was apprehended near Malgodamsahi under Jaleswar police station limits. The arrested man is oen of the major suppliers of brown sugar in the area. According to police sources, he was wanted in a previous case where 250 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his buyer.

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Balasore police have arrested 11 people and seized about 1.5 kg of brown sugar in seven cases.
