BSP to Have no Pre-Poll Alliance for Lok Sabha Polls, Open to Post-Poll Alliance

Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati on Monday expressed that her party is not interested in any kind of pre-poll alliance for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Mayawati said the BSP will fight it alone in the coming Lok Sabha elections. But while addressing the media, she did not rule out a post-poll alliance.

In 2019, the BSP contested the last Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the Samajwadi Party.

She was interacting with the newsmen in the BSP’s state party office in Lucknow on occasion of her birthday. She also denied reports that she was planning to retire from politics.

She said the party would not forge any tie-up for the Lok Sabha elections but would consider aligning with any party after assessing the post-poll situation.
