Engine Detaches from Goods Train on Haridaspur-Paradip Track

Bhubaneswar: The engine of a goods train got detached and traveled ahead leaving behind its bogies in Jajpur district on Thursday.

This incident occurred on the Haridaspur – Paradip railway track in Jajpur district. This goods train was traveling towards Haridaspur when all of a sudden the engine got detached from the bogies near Patrajpur.

Coming to know about it, the pilot of the engine brought back the engine to the left behind bogies. The railway staff reconnected the engine with the coaches and the goods train it traveled towards its destination. No damage was reported.

On July 22, a similar incident occurred near Soro station. Bogeys of a coal-loaded gods train got detached from the engine. Leaving behind the coal wagons, the engine traveled on for around two kilometers.
