Engine of Khajuraho-Udaipur Intercity Train Catches Fire

Gwalior: The engine of the Khajuraho-Udaipur intercity train caught fire near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.

According to railway officials, smoke was noticed to be coming out of the engine of train number 19666 Udaipur – Khajuraho Express near Sitholi. The train was immediately halted and the fire was controlled.

The train traveled to its destination by installing another engine.

Railway authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

According to the passengers, the train was stopped for over two hours after the fire broke out.

In another incident, a fire erupted in two air-conditioned coaches of stationary Udyan Express at the Bengaluru City Railway Station. There were no casualties as the coaches were empty.
