Ex-Minister Nabin Chandra Narayan Das Resigns from Congress

Dhenkanal: Odisha unit of Congress received another shock ahead of the 2024 polls, as former minister Nabin Chandra Narayan Das resigned from the party on Monday. Along with him, former Dhenkanal district president of the Congress, Saroj Pattnaik also quit the Congress party.

Speaking to newsmen, Das said he resigned from the Congress because the party lacked leadership. He alleged that the present Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President is only thinking about himself, not the party.

He said he had not yet taken any decision to join any other party.

In the past, Das was a minister in the Odisha cabinet holding key portfolios like Panchayati Raj, Education and Commerce departments. He was also the Chairman of Dhenkanal Municipality.
