Hardik Pandya’s Step-Brother Arrested for Cheating Him of Rs 4.3 Cr

Mumbai: Vaibhav Pandya, the step-brother of Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya was arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly cheating them of around Rs 4.3 crore.

As per reports, Vaibhav allegedly diverted around Rs 4.3 crore from a partnership firm, causing a loss to Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal.

In 2021, Hardik, Krunal and Vaibhav had set up a joint business. The two cricketers were to get 40 per cent each from profits while Vaibhav was to get 20 per cent.

However, Vaibhav did not share the profits with Hardik and Krunal. Vaibhav formed a separate company and diverted the funds from the joint-business into it.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police charged Vaibhav with cheating and forgery. Hardik had filed a complaint against Vaibhav.
