I-T Raids at Coaching Institute, Owner’s Properties in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Income Tax officials took up simultaneous raids at several properties owned by Subrata Kumar Chattoi in Bhubaneswar since 4.00 am on Monday.

The raids are being conducted at Chattoi’s coaching institute and other properties in Bhubaneswar on charges of income tax evasion.

According to reports, the I-T officials are examining the documents and bank accounts of the institute that provides coaching for IAS, OAS, UPSC and other competitive examinations.

Because of the continuing raids, students and staff of the coaching institute were not allowed to enter the coaching institute since morning.

In March 2023, a team of Central Goods and Services Tax (GST) conducted raids at various centres of this private coaching institute on allegations of tax evasion.
