The meeting of the trust was held on Friday to select the idol of Lord Ram Lalla through voting. The selected idol will be installed inside the garbhagriha of the grand temple.

Artisans Ganesh Bhatt, Arun Yogiraj and Satyanarayan Pandey constructed three Ram Lalla (baby Ram) idols in Ayodhya. One of them was selected for installation in the new Ram Janmabhoomi temple in January 2024.

Each of these three idols was carved out of a single stone behind closed doors at Ramsevakpuran in Ayodhya. The selected idol is 51-inch-tall sculpture reflecting a five-year-old–Ram Lalla.

The consecration ceremony will start on January 16. On the final day, January 22, the idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated in ‘Mrigashira Nakshatra’ in the afternoon.
