Hangzhou: India’s men’s trap shooting team secured gold at the Asian Games 2023 on October 1, adding to the country’s impressive medal haul in the sport. Kynan Chenai, Zoravar Singh Sandhu, and Prithviraj Tondaiman outperformed strong competitors from Kuwait and China to win the top prize.

With this victory, India’s shooting contingent has won a remarkable 21 medals at the Asian Games 2023, including 7 gold, 9 silver, and 5 bronze. This stellar performance marks a redemption for the Indian shooters following their underwhelming showing at the Tokyo Olympics.

Women’s Trap Team Claims Silver

India also claimed a silver medal in the women’s trap team event on the same day. Rajeshwari Kumari, Manisha Keer, and Preeti Rajak secured the second spot with 337 points, narrowly trailing behind China.
