Indian Men’s Hockey Team Ready For Australia Challenge in Pre-Olympics Litmus Test

Perth: The Indian men’s hockey team, brimming with confidence after a strong FIH Pro League showing, takes on Australia in a crucial five-match Test series starting tomorrow in Perth. This series serves as a vital pre-Olympics test for both teams, who are placed in the same group at the Paris Games.

Chief coach Craig Fulton emphasized the importance of executing game plans effectively and adapting to Australia’s challenges. The series presents India with a chance to break their decade-long dry spell against Australia and secure a Test series win, especially after their last away Test series victory in 2014.

Captain Harmanpreet expressed readiness for the challenge and emphasized the team’s unity and determination to perform well and learn and grow as a unit.
