Ink Thrown at 5T Secretary VK Pandian: Suspect Bhaskar Sahoo Released by Police

Puri: Police have released Bhaskar Sahoo, the individual suspected of throwing ink at Odisha’s 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Puri Collector Samarth Verma. The incident occurred in the Satyabadi area of the district on 19 August.

Following his apprehension at the scene, the accused was held and questioned at the local police station. However, Bhaskar has now been released, after he signed an undertaking committing to refrain from engaging in similar acts in the future.

The ink-throwing occurrence unfolded at the Utkalmani Gopabandhu Smruti Mahavidyalaya, precisely as the 5T Secretary and the District Collector made their way towards the stage upon arriving at the college. Seizing the opportunity from within a sizeable crowd, Bhaskar approached the officials and carried out the act.

As of now, the exact motive behind Bhaskar’s actions remains undetermined. The investigation continues to uncover the underlying reasons for the incident.
