IRCTC Rail Ticket Booking Service Down Due to Technical Snag

New Delhi: Online booking service of Indian Railways’ e-ticketing platform, IRCTC, was stalled on Tuesday due to some technical snag. People could not book railway tickets on the website and the app of the IRCTC.

But as per reports, tickets could be booked through online travel agencies like MakeMyTrip and Amazon.

Services on the IRCTC web portal and app were reportedly down since 8 am.

But several persons complained that while the IRCTC web portal and app were down and ticket booking was not being accepted, yet money was getting deducted for tickets never booked. This allegedly happened till 10 am.

Railways authorities have not come up with any statement regarding the refund of money to the people who tried to book tickets.
