Landmine Blast Triggered by Maoists Critically Injures 2 SOG Jawans in Boudh Dist

Bhubaneswar: Explosion of a landmine planted by Maoists seriously injured two SOG Jawans during an anti-Maoist operation at Nalikumpa forest in the Boudh district of Odisha on Thursday.

The two injured jawans were airlifted to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir for treatment.

According to reports, the Naxalites triggered the IED blast while the SOG jawans were involved in a combing operation at Nalikumpa forest on Thursday morning.

The injured SOG jawans were initially rushed to the Kantamal Community Health Centre (CHC) in Boudh district. Later they were airlifted to Balangir medical college.

Following this blast, security forces have intensified the search operations at the Nalikumpa forest.
