Mamata Banerjee Injured in Car Accident On Way To Kolkata

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained a minor injury today when her car abruptly came to a halt to avert a potential collision with another vehicle. The incident occurred during her journey from Bardhaman to Kolkata.

Mamata Banerjee had to resort to traveling by car as her helicopter was unable to take off due to adverse weather conditions. She will receive medical attention in Kolkata, where doctors will assess her condition.

Seated in the front next to the driver, Ms. Banerjee suffered injuries as her head made contact with the windscreen, as per an official statement.

The CM had been in Purba Bardhaman, more than 100 km from Kolkata, to preside over an administrative review meeting.
