Man Arrested for Raping Minor Stepdaughter in UP

Lucknow: A man was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police in the state’s Mainpuri district under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly raping his minor stepdaughter.

A case of rape and other sections under the POCSO Act was registered against the accused as per the complaint filed by the victim at the Karhal police station.

The police investigation revealed that the accused was the stepfather of the girl. He was arrested. The investigation is underway.”
