Man Surrenders After Slitting Wife’s Throat in Rayagada Dist

Rayagada: A woman named Nandini Nayak was brutally murdered by her husband inside a house near Hatmuniguda near Ramakrishna Mission under Muniguda police station limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district.

Her husband, Sami Chandra Nayak reportedly surrendered at the Muniguda police station claiming that he had slit the throat of Nandini with a blade because of a marital dispute.

The body of the deceased was discovered on Thursday morning. The deceased, a resident of the Burujuguda village, worked as a gardener at the Ramakrishna Mission. She used to live at a relative’s house near Hatimunda.

Muniguda police reached the spot, seized the body for post mortem and started an investigation into the crime. Sami Chandra Nayak is being interrogated by the police for information regarding the incident.
