New Bridge Proposed Over Mahanadi to Connect Boudh & Sonepur

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has proposed to construct the second high-level (HL) bridge over the Mahanadi river to ease road communication between Boudh and Sonepur districts.

This proposal for the new bridge was approved by the State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The proposed bridge will connect Baunsuni of Boudh district and Biramaharajpur in Sonepur district benefitting people residing of both sides of the river by enhancing connectivity and economic opportunities, said Chief Secretary PK Jena.

The state government will spend Rs 105,70,99,350 on the project, which is expected to be completed in 36 months.
