Odisha Govt Declares 4% DA Hike for Employees & Pensioners

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) for government employees and pensioners.

A CMO release stated, “The state government announced the release of 4 per cent additional Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) in favour of government employees and pensioners respectively to enhance the rate from 46%. to 50%”.

The enhanced DA and TI will be paid retrospectively from January 1, 2024, and benefit 4.5 lakh government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.

In October 2023, the Odisha government increased the DA and TI by 4 per cent as festive gifts for Dussehra and Diwali. The enhanced amount was paid from July 1, 2023 retrospectively.
