Over 1 Kg Heroin Seized from 2 Drug Peddlers Near Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha STF seized over 1 kg heroin from the possession of two arrested drug peddlers during raids in the Uttara-Pipli area near Bhubaneswar on Friday evening.

These anti-narcotics raids were conducted by a team of STF, Bhubaneswar.

The arrested drug peddlers were Lipun Pandey, a resident of Pipili in Puri district, and Sk Abbash of Masjidgali PS area in Khordha district.

The STF recovered brown sugar (heroin) weighing 1080 gm and other incriminating materials from the possession of the arrested persons.

The arrested duo will be forwarded to the Court of District & Sessions’-Cum-Special Judge, in Puri, a release of the STF said.

Since 2020, the STF has seized more than 72 kg brown sugar/heroin, 202 gm cocaine, 116 quintal ganja, 750 gm opium and arrested more than 178 drug peddlers/dealers.
