28 Killed as Massive Blasts Rock Balochistan on Eve of Pakistan Elections

Balochistan: Pakistan’s Balochistan province reeled under the impact of two horrific bomb blasts that claimed at least 28 lives just a day before the highly anticipated general elections, casting a dark shadow on the democratic process.

The first explosion, which ripped through the Pishin district near the Afghan border, left 18 people dead, including some near the election office of an independent candidate. Images circulating on social media depicted the devastating aftermath, with mangled vehicles and debris scattered around the blast site.

A second explosion, claiming 10 lives, struck Qillah Saif Ullah district, approximately 150km away. Initial reports suggest the target was the election office of the JUI-F party.

Adding to the already tense atmosphere surrounding the elections, marked by accusations of rigging and violence, these attacks raise serious concerns about security and voter intimidation. Despite the tragic events, authorities remain determined to proceed with the polls tomorrow, vowing not to let terrorists disrupt the democratic process.
