Congress Outdated, Against Reservation: PM Modi Launches Scathing Attack in Parliament

New Delhi: In a fiery speech during the Rajya Sabha’s Motion of Thanks debate, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted the Congress, labelling it as outdated and accusing it of consistently opposing reservation policies. Modi asserted that the Congress has delegated its responsibilities, expressing sympathy for its decline.

Referring to a letter by Jawaharlal Nehru opposing reservations, Modi highlighted the Congress’ historical stance against reservation, particularly in employment. He emphasized President Droupadi Murmu’s focus on addressing the concerns of marginalized sections—poor, farmers, youth, and women.

Accusing the Congress of undermining democracy and fostering divisions, Modi criticized its approach towards Dalits, backward classes, and tribals. He condemned the party for attempting to create regional divides and questioned its credibility on national security, citing past territorial concessions.

Furthermore, Modi criticized the Congress for neglecting national issues and perpetuating colonial-era symbols. He accused the party of disparaging Indian traditions and failing to address the country’s challenges.
