Quitting Congress, Ex-Minister Surendra Singh Bhoi Joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls, former Odisha minister Surendra Singh Bhoi joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday. A day back he resigned from the Congress.

Bhoi was inducted into the BJD in the presence of the senior leaders of the BJD including Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra, and state Minister Tukuni Sahu at the BJP headquarters Sankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

Along with Bhoi, his supporters also joined the BJD.

The former Titilagarh MLA cited personal reasons to snap ties with the Congress, his party for last three decades.
