Teacher, Minor Girl Stripped, Thrashed in Bihar

Patna: A girl and a teacher were stripped and thrashed by three persons, who allegedly caught them in a compromising position in Bihar’s Begusarai district.

A video clip of the incident showing three persons attacking and stripping the minor and the man went viral on social media on Friday. Police investigation hinted that the incident occurred on Thursday.

The man in the video was identified as a music teacher in his mid-40s.

Acting on the statement of the minor girl, police arrested the music teacher. He was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Section 376 of the IPC (sexual offences). Police are trying to track down the three persons who assaulted the minor and the accused.

A team under the supervision of a senior women police officer has been constituted to investigate the case.
