Unruly Mob Vandalizes Police Station in Bargarh District

Bargarh: An unruly mob of angry villagers vandalized the Ambabhona police station in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Sunday. This incident followed a police raid on a picnic site. on Sunday.

As per preliminary reports, a group of around 25 to 30 locals barged into the police station to damage furniture and electronic equipment in the building.

According to sources, earlier on the day, a police team raided a picnic troupe at Tamdee alleging that the picnickers were using drugs.

The young picnickers dispersed from the site after police the police raid. But they later gathered up to attack the police station. The angry youths damaged all the glass items, furniture, and computers at the police station, before escaping from the spot.

A police team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bargarh, has started an investigation to identify and arrest the miscreants involved in the attack on the police station.
