Wall Collapses on Family in Balasore Dist, Father & Son Killed, Mother Serious

Balasore: A wall collapsed on a family in Jaleswar of Balasore district in Odisha killing the minor son and his father. The mother of the deceased child was seriously injured in the accident.

According to reports, members of the ill-fated family were sitting by the roadside near their neighbour’s house, when the mud wall collapsed on them. The son died on the spot, while his parents were critically injured.

The injured were identified as Sheikh Samiruddin and his wife Asima Bibi. They were admitted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Samiruddin died during treatment.

The house whose clay wall collapsed on them is owned by a neighbour. Hearing the screams of the injured family, the locals rescued them from the debris.
