Wild Bear Mauls Woman to Death in Kalahandi District

Bhawanipatna:  A woman reportedly died in a wild bear attack in the Koksara block of Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Tuesday. Her body was located on Wednesday morning.

The victim was identified as Bhabani Thakur of Patrabasa village under Baradanga panchayat.

It is suspected that a wild bear attacked and killed her while she was out of her house for some work.

Receiving information, personnel from Ampani police station and local forest officials reached the village to start an investigation. The body was sent for post-mortem to ascertain the reason behind the death.
