Woman’s Body Buried Near Playground Discovered in Deogarh Dist

Deogarh: The decomposed body of a woman buried near a playground was unearthed by the local police in the Reamal area of Odisha’s Deogarh district on Friday night.

The deceased has not been identified yet. A shepherd grazing goat spotted the half-buried body near the playground in Madhyapur village under Talakundi panchayat on Friday evening and informed others.

Police reached the spot but decided to exhume the body on Saturday in the presence of a scientific team as it was already dark.

The exact cause of death is not known yet. It is suspected to be a murder as broken bangles and a saree were found near the place where the body was buried.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
