Dalit Boy Thrashed for Touching Water Bucket of Upper Caste Man in Rajasthan

Jaipur: In another shocking incident of casteist torture of lower castes, an eight-year-old Dalit boy was allegedly beaten up in Rajasthan’s Alwar district for touching an upper caste man’s water bucket.

This shocking incident happened in the Ramgarh area of Rajasthan’s Alwar district.

The victim was a student of class 4. According to the police complaint filed by the victim’s father Ratiram Thakur, the accused Ratiram Thakur assaulted and thrashed the boy on Saturday only because he had allegedly touched his bucket, kept near the handpump at a government school.

The victim had gone to the handpump to drink water. Police are investigating the case. The accused, Thakur, runs a tea stall near the school in the village.
