Man Kills Neighbour for Stealing His Wife’s Saree in Gurugram

New Delhi: A 50-year-old man shot dead his neighbour for stealing his wife’s saree in Nathupur village in Gurugram.

The accused identified as a security guard named Ajay Singh was arrested on Thursday.

On Tuesday, his Reena had complained that their neighbour Pintu Kumar (30), who is also a security guard, had stolen her saree, the police said. This led to an altercation between Ajay and Pintu on Tuesday night as Pintu denied the allegation.

During the altercation Ajya shot Pintu in the stomach by his double barrel gun, police sources said.

The victim was admitted to a local hospital where he died.

The accused was detained by police at the DLF Phase 3 police station on Tuesday night. He confessed to the murder during interrogation and was arrested on Thursday.

A double barrel gun, two bullet shells and an arms license were seized from the arrested person’s possession.
