Two Odias Arrested with Over 37 Kg Ganja in Thane of Maharashtra

Mumbai: Two persons from Odisha were arrested on charges of illegal marijuana smuggling in Maharshtra’s Thane district. Police seized 37.39 kg of ganja valued at Rs 16.68 lakh from the arrested persons.

As per reports, a crime branch team trapped the duo near a roadside dhaba on Anjurphata-Vasai road in Bhiwandi area on March 1 evening.

During checking the police seized the contraband from their possession and arrested them.

The arrested men were identified as Rajkishore Dhootkrishna Behra (31) and Sagar Surendra Nayak (29). They were booked under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
